Based on the book by Valentine Davies and the classic holiday film of the same name, “Miracle On 34th Street” tells a joyous and heart-warming story. By chance, Kris Kringle, an old man in a retirement home, gets a job working as Santa Claus in Macy’s Department Store. Kringle unleashes waves of goodwill with Macy's customers and the commercial world of New York City, by referring parents to other stores to find exactly the toy their child has asked for. Macy's vocational counselor, who views Kringle as delusional and dangerous, plots to have him committed to Bellevue Psychiatric Hospital. When Kris ends up in a court competency hearing, it seems the entire spirit of Christmas is on trial. Especially at stake is one little girl's belief in Santa and all that is good in the world. “Miracle On 34th Street” is an inspiring story, perfect for a family holiday experience.
