WHEN: July 15 and 16 at 7pm. You only need to attend one day of auditions. No appointments are needed.

WHERE: Country Gate Playhouse, 114 Greenwich St, Belvidere, NJ 07823

PERFORMANCES: September 28 - October 6

WHO: Men and Women ages 16+ for lead roles and ensemble; One child aged 9-12 to play Toby

WHAT TO PREPARE: To audition, prepare at least 16 bars from a song from the show, but be prepared to sing more. Music can be found by searching Sweeney Todd Musical Vocal Libretto. You will be accompanied by piano during the audition and sheet music will be provided. If you are interested in a specific role, please audition with a song from that role or at least be familiar with that characters' music in case we need to hear more. Remember to perform or "act out" the song, as we are looking for both singing and acting abilities. For general audition tips, click here.
REHEARSALS: Rehearsals will be held 3-4 days a week from 7pm to approximately 10:30pm. The week before opening, there will be rehearsals every night that may run longer. A list of potential conflicts is required from anyone auditioning. It goes without saying that all auditionees must be able to attend all show performances. There is no fee for participation, however, actors are responsible for costumes and/or costume rental fees, which can range from $50-150 per costume. Cast members aged 16+ will also be required to attend at least 1 full workday on the weekend to assist with set/scenic work.
